I have used L A Strings over many years for minor repairs to my guitars. Recently, they re-varnished
the table and the results to the tone quality and appearing were remarkable. It is worth a visit to
their workshop which contains a trove of unexpected instruments.

Peter Ostrin PoW Guitars -Haim, gave us a guest lecture. He was awesome. He is a full
time luthier and philospher in London. He really knows the shit. The class was riveting.
Haim gave his views on all sorts of things from the soul of trees to his theory of

Luthiers both, My Tokai was the nicest guitar I had ever played when I got it, but after
20 years of ignorant maintenance and the odd breakage, it had become quite ordinary
and wouldn’t hold its tuning. It had fallen from favour and brochures for instruments that
I could not afford were finding their way into my possession.
Two days with you gentlemen have resurrected the magnificent soul of this guitar – its notes ring
on and on and it is such a pleasure to strum one single chord and listen to it slowly die away over
a few minutes. I am so pleased with it. So thank you very much for your good work . . .
